Join our Bolton Parent and Carer Panel and help improve services for families across Bolton.
What is the Parent and Carer Panel?
Our Parent and Carer Panel is a group of local parents and carers who share their experiences and ideas to help shape family services from pregnancy through the early years.
It is about working together so services work better for everyone.
Where do Parent and Carer Panel sessions take place?
We hold regular in person panels at:
- Harvey Best Start Family Hub
- Bright Meadows Best Start Family Hub
A third panel will shortly launch. Panels are hosted by Bolton Toy Library, on behalf of the Best Start Partnership.
Getting involved in other ways
Bolton Toy Library also speaks to families in:
- Schools
- Community centres
- Local groups and events
So you can share your views in a way that suits you.
Who can join Parent and Carer Panels?
We want to hear from a wide range of people, including:
- Parents-to-be
- Mums, dads and carers of babies and young children
- Grandparents, foster carers and kinship carers
You don’t need any previous experience, just a willingness to share your views.
We are especially keen to make sure our panel reflects the diversity of families in Bolton, so every voice is heard.

You Said, and We Did!
Bolton Toy Library continue to engage with parents by hosting Parent Carer Panels in Harvey and Bright Meadows Best Start Family Hubs, and talking to families in schools, community centres and more. Here are just some of the things parents and carers have said and how the Best Start Family Hub Partnership has listened. A big thanks to our parents and carers from the panel who give their time to share their views, and to those of the families they connect with.
